And the 20th anniversary of Labview brings the 20th Anniversary edition: Labview 8.20.

National Instruments LabVIEW 8.20, the 20th anniversary edition of the LabVIEW graphical system design platform for test, control, and embedded system development, includes the following new features:
• Open connectivity with The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® software
• Improved algorithm execution speeds for simple PID and advanced control systems
• A new NI Modulation Toolkit that gives engineers the ability to develop models to simulate communications systems and evaluate parameter and design decisions
• The LabVIEW FPGA Wizard that you can use to create custom data acquisition devices
NI LabVIEW Toolkit for LEGO® MINDSTORMS® NXT
Also announced today was the NI LabVIEW Toolkit for LEGO® MINDSTORMS® NXT. With this software, LabVIEW users can create and download VIs to operate LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT, the next generation of the popular LEGO robotic system released last week. Third-party software and hardware developers also can use the toolkit to create native blocks for MINDSTORMS NXT software, which is based on LabVIEW.
