How to get into the magazine 101

July 25, 2005 by Walt Boyes

Just for the heck of it, here’s Publicity 101, as taught by Jerry Moon of Emerson Process Management.

EMERSON SELECTED BY LEADING MINING AND METALS COMPANY TO AUTOMATE NICKEL RECOVERY PLANT
Emerson’s PlantWeb® to lower installed cost and ease configuration, helping fast track new construction at Inco processing plant.
********good, informative headline and deck*******************
AUSTIN, TEXAS (July 25, 2005) – Emerson Process Management, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR), has been chosen by Inco Ltd., Toronto, the world’s second largest producer of nickel, to automate a 1/100th scale demonstration processing plant currently under construction in Argentia, Newfoundland.

Here’s the point: anything can be news if you treat it as such, even the automation of a bench scale pilot plant. Don’t hide your light under a bushel basket. Talk about what you are doing…we are interested.
