PAS Keynotes Include FBI, BASF, Southern Company, Alstom, and the irrepressible Eddie Habibi #pauto
PAS Technical Conference 2014 #PASTech2014 begins on Monday night, May 19th, but the real meat starts on Tuesday morning, May 20th.
FBI on Cyber Security
In her keynote, entitled “An Overview of the Cyber Threat Landscape,” FBI Special Agent Angela Haun will talk about industrial control system cyber security, and she will discuss InfraGard, a partnership between the FBI and the private sector. InfraGard is a non-profit association representing businesses, academic institutions, and state and local law enforcement agencies dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the U.S.
BASF on Automation Security
Keith Dichary, process control and automation director at BASF, will provide “Perspectives on Automation and Automation Security.”
Eddie Habibi’s Singular Vision
Eddie Habibi will present his long view about the interrelation of systems in automation and process control in a keynote entitled, “Connecting the Dots…People, Assets, and Information.”
New, Improved High Performance HMI Designs
Then, Harvey Ivey, Manager – I&C Systems and Field Support, Southern Company will talk about “Improving the Situational Awareness of Plant Operators,” and that will be followed by Amy Ericson, U.S. Country President, Alstom, whose keynote is entitled, “Alstom Meeting Customer Needs With High Performance HMI.”
