(Control May 2006)
This is my pick for the best issue so far this year. The Cover Story in May is “Unscrambling Safety”
and takes an end-user-eye-view of the new ANSI/ISA S88 regulations, and their relationship to the IEC regs, and how end-users are supposed to implement these regulations going forward. The cover story is by our award-winning editor, Rich Merritt.
We have Greg Shinskey on External Reset.
We have Greg McMillan on Advanced Process Control.
We have Margaret Walker, Ed Sederlund, Eric Cosman and Jerry Gipson from Dow with the second part of their series on the Dow Automation Learnings.
We have Jim Montague on Machine Health, Walt Boyes on Immigration Reform, Rich Merritt on Nuclear Power, Bela Liptak finishing his series on Global Warming, and Dan Hebert on PC-based Control, as well as Ian Verhappen on fieldbus issues, Ask the Experts, ControlTalk and Keith Larson on “InFusion.”
I’m very proud of such a powerhouse issue.
I’m also proud of the fact that we continue to increase our digital issue subscriber base, and I encourage you all, especially those of you not in the USA, to subscribe to the issue in our digital edition.
You can view the magazine exactly as printed in either Adobe (formerly Macromedia) Flash, in HTML, or in an unencrypted PDF version that you are welcome to download and print out or pass along.
I hope you like the May issue as much as I do.
Walt
