Video News Releases — And What Do We Think of Them?

PRWatch.org has a column on their website called “Fake News.”
It talks about VNRs (video news releases) which are put out, just like a traditional press release, to news agencies, radio and television stations, and even bloggers, worldwide. Like a traditional press release, they are written and delivered to produce the desired message for a paying client. And, also like a traditional press release, they are often used as a substitute for real journalism.
Here’s one VNR that might hit home.
