I’ve been kind of MIA the last few days, because I’ve been busy becoming a grandfather. My daughter, Andrea Boyes, gave birth on Saturday to her first child, and my first grandchild. Tristan Alexander Boyes-Williams came into the world at 12:13 pm, weighing almost eight pounds and twenty-one inches long. A nice big addition to the next generation.
This is the kind of moment that makes me reflect on how we are going to leave the world for people his age when they are grown.
