Citect Enters “Powered By SAP NetWeaver” Partner Program
Sydney, Australia – Citect, one of the world’s largest, independent, real-time intelligence and industrial automation software companies has entered the “Powered By SAP NetWeaver” Partner Program. This program is designed for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to create innovative, high-impact solutions and sales opportunities for the SAP customer ecosystem.
Both Citect and SAP support the industry standard for interoperability, ISA-951, and are global leaders in the implementation of B2MML for plant to business interoperability. B2MML is an XML-based implementation of the ISA-95 standard developed by the World Batch Forum.
The SAP NetWeaver platform is the technical foundation of mySAP™ Business Suite solutions, SAP® xApps™ composite applications, partner solutions and customer custom-built applications. It provides the best method to integrate all systems running SAP and non-SAP software.
“Citect sees tremendous value in utilizing the SAP NetWeaver platform to leverage the capabilities of both SAP and Citect Applications for our customers,” says Richard Webb, CEO, Citect Corporation
“Citect’s next generation Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) solution, Ampla, is currently in the process of being certified for SAP NetWeaver with two packages,” says Colette Munro, Citect’s Global Director, Ampla. “The package for Production Management based on ISA-95 enables manufacturers to dramatically reduce the cost and complexity of plant to business interoperability, while the Enterprise Portal package enables key production information from Ampla to be displayed in the SAP Enterprise portal.”
Ampla delivers real-time access to plant and business information allowing organizations to accelerate their continuous improvement programs.
