Another addition to the PR Wall of Shame…

September 20, 2005 by Walt Boyes

From Heidi Parsons, digital managing editor of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing:
Line from a press release I received this morning:
“Featuring a unique, newly patented microstructure, the GORE-TEX GR® sheet gasketing material’s ability to withstand creep relaxation means better performance at elevated operating temperatures.”
Don’t you wish _you_ had a superior ability to withstand creep relaxation? I know I do. *grin*

If you think about it, it really isn’t funny. Somebody actually paid money to have a soi-disant “professional” write and send this out.
Bad PR is endemic, and really bad PR is not uncommon. If you think your PR effort might need some help, you are probably right.
What do YOU think?
