AutomationXchange Rumbles to Life

August 22, 2005 by Walt Boyes

Last night was the obligatory “meet and greet” where the end-users and the vendors get to socialize before the meetings that start today. There were lots of familiar faces, on both the end-user side and the vendor side. I left the m&G about 10 so I could get some editing done…but it probably kept on going. It is really nice to see vendors and end-users meeting in a neutral and non-threatening situation. Everybody knows why they are here, and everybody is ready to do some business. I am booked up literally hour by hour meeting with vendors who want to “meet the Editor.” This is going to generate some really good stories for CONTROL for next year. Last year’s AX generated four good features for the magazine. This year, I expect more.
Gotta get ready for the breakfast meeting now. More later.
