Wireless HART Meeting at ARC Next Month

January 8, 2007 by Walt Boyes

From Liz Patranella at the HART Communication Foundation:
The HCF will host a special HART Users Group roundtable meeting on the coming Wireless HART Communication standard on Monday, 12 Feb, 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando. The meeting is being held in conjunction with the ARC Advisory Group Worldwide Strategy Forum (12-15 Feb, Orlando, Florida) and is open to all automation professionals who use HART technology in their plants.
There is no charge to attend this meeting.
The development of the wireless standard for HART Communication will
ensure interoperable products and new connectivity solutions for
leveraging the intelligence of HART-smart devices in a wireless
environment.
The meeting is an opportunity for industry users to review the current status of the coming Wireless HART Communication standard and to participate in a discussion of technology issues such as coexistence, security, reliability, flexibility, interoperability, testing and more.
Information from the meeting will be presented to the Wireless HART
Working Group for review and consideration.
Harry Forbes, ARC Senior Analyst Automation, will present a Wireless
Technology Outlook. Ed Ladd, HCF Director of Technology Programs, and Wil Chin, ARC Director of Field Devices, will co-chair.
